WELCOME Jory, as a Village leader.
We invite you to listen to one of our very first podcasts. It is called “Understanding Gentle Parenting” and focuses on the information overload we are bombarded with and the difficulties we are experiencing trying to practice a form of Gentle Parenting. We want to give you a preview of how our upcoming podcasts will be formatted and structured; think “The View,” but for moms. As a village leader, we hope you will join Paula on various podcasts responding to these story podcasts, like the one shown below, providing validation, tools, and your expert opinion. Our goal is not only for moms to feel less alone and help them navigate motherhood but also to provide you with professional social media and prospective new clients.
THIS IS THE STORY of how we are tackling this generational change in parenting, trying to unlearn what comes natural and relearn what we now know to be effective.
Meet the Team
Best friends since the age of three, Paula and Arne embark on this journey of sharing the unique experience of motherhood that will hopefully benefit mothers everywhere.

Becoming a mother in the beginning of the pandemic was not an easy undertaking, the isolation and overwhelming information online was peaking my anxiety levels. When they say “It takes a village”, believe them, whoever “they”are. My friends became my villagers, my most useful and comforting resource. I was still longing for ONE place that could give me tools and strategies for when Maya would constantly unlatch at the breast, or when Maddie would wake up every 3 hours. I was looking to really understand what was happening and how I could help my kids but also myself. My village leaders became my trusted circle of specialists who have helped me in navigating these challenges with confidence and success.
Enter: First Moms Club, a safe space where I am sharing my villagers and my village leaders with all of you.

One of my fondest childhood memories was my 4th birthday party where there was a magician and all my friends from daycare, including Paula and her mother. Flash forward 30 years and I’m at Paula’s daughter’s 3rd birthday with Anna and Elsa from Frozen, watching Paula complete the cycle. I have great passion for storytelling through media and I could think of no better story to tell than the ones that come from the heart. Watching the little girl I grew up with, herself becoming a mother, makes this journey all the more special. Sharing the experiences that come along with this journey, make this club all the more relevant. If I can successfully bring these stories to life for the mothers out there who were once little girls, I would feel extremely proud and humbled to know that I was a part their journey.

Our very first goal with First Moms Club is to share the helpful knowledge we have gained by referring mothers to specialists along the way. From sleep trainers to lactation consultants, it takes a village to raise our little ones; our village leaders are crucial members of that community.
The specialists who participate in the Club by sharing their tools and expertise will receive professional content they can share on their social media and a promo code tied to their name. The member would get 20% off yearly membership, and the specialist would receive $20. For example, when a member uses code JORY20 to purchase an annual membership, the member would pay $80 instead of $100, and you would receive $20.

Our second goal with First Moms Club is to share what has worked best for us in terms of products and gear for our little ones. Some things are needed and some things are not. Amongst the 7 of us, we have tried a variety of them and will be sharing our favourites and where to purchase them.
Brands we partner with will receive organic advertising through product reviews, placements, and recommendations within the episodes, blog posts, and lists. They will also be receiving referrals that will translate into sales.
